Diana Adams was born in Canterbury in 1969. She gained a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Landscape Architecture, and has previously worked as a landscape architect. She is passionate about the New Zealand landscape and decided to paint full time after her first successful solo exhibition.
Adams uses bold, deep colour and captures the ethereal qualities of her subject by reducing it to its essential elements. An early influence on Diana was the work of Rita Angus.
Diana's original canvas's have proved to be so popular she is now having them reproduced on paper.
