Carole Shepheard

Carole Shepheard is a widely recognised New Zealand artist. She trained at Elam School of Fine Art and gained a Diploma in teaching. Shepheard has taught throughout New Zealand and overseas. Presently she lectures in printmaking at Elam Art School, Auckland. As a print maker Shepheard produces both limited editions of her work and one off original prints, sometimes combining a number of images to build one work of art. She has participated in a variety of solo and group exhibitions and has been the recipient of several awards including the New Zealand Society of industrial Design Award, the Auckland University Senior Scholarship, the Zonta Award and the Carnegie Travel Award. Shepheard has also been successful in obtaining commissions for the University of Auckland, BMW, the Commonwealth Games and Collard Bros Ltd.
