Alexander Vogels

Alexander Vogels was born in 1952 in Heerlen, the Netherlands. He studied at the Maastricht Academy of Fine Arts. Having lived in Australia as a child he developed a fascination for the original Aboriginal art which lead to a deep interest in the origins of art and the civilization of Western art in particular. His abstract paintings give the viewer a license to an individual interpretation of what one perceives. The spectator is drawn to experience the image and be immersed in it.
