Esther Dexter

Esther Dexter is a fulltime professional artist based in rural Wanaka. Coming from a creative family Esther has been experimenting with various art mediums for most of her life. A strong eye for design and contemporary colours make her South island inspired landscapes very recognisable. Esther’s work is often dreamlike and melodramatic, exploring how we remember places and our emotional links to them. Her work hangs in private collections in the USA, Asia, Australia, New Zealand, and Europe. In early 2017 Esther, was further honoured for her work by receiving the "Upper Clutha Art Award" from the Wanaka Art Society.
